Modifying an installation
Note If you plan to change shared preparation file folder location during the modify/repair installation, run modify/repair directly from the installation package instead of from the Windows Change/Remove feature.
1 Log on with the user name you created for installing the UNICOM Intelligence Server applications.
2 From the Windows Start menu, select Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > UNICOM Intelligence Server.
3 Click Change/Remove to open the UNICOM Intelligence Server Maintenance window.
4 Select Modify, and then click Next. You can:
add or remove features on the local computer (UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool, Phone Interviews, Remote Administration, and so on)
add or remove servers on an existing cluster. If you add a server from here, you must then reboot the cluster's primary server. To add servers to a cluster without rebooting the server, see Adding a new interviewing server to an existing cluster.
5 The remaining steps are identical to installing the UNICOM Intelligence Server applications. For more information, see Installing UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server or Installing UNICOM Intelligence Survey Tabulation, Reporter Server Edition, and Author Server Edition.
6 After modification, either reboot each UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, or go to:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\Interviewer Server\Server
on each UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin, and then run RegIntSvr.exe. Both actions register the Interviewing Service with the Web Service.
