Upgrading an installation
You can upgrade an existing installation. Refer to the release notes for the target version of UNICOM Intelligence Server, for limitations that are specific to the current and target versions for the upgrade.
After the installation has been upgraded, refer to the configuration files that were backed up by the installation process. Compare Web.config and other files that were overwritten by the upgrade process for differences, and then apply the appropriate settings. For example, you might have changed settings for SSL support, and your cluster might not work until those settings have been re‑applied.
Do not use the backup files to overwrite the new versions of the configuration files, because new settings might have been added.
Configuration files are backed up to the following folder:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\version\Backup\UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin version_date_time
where:
version is the version that is being installed. For example, for version 7.0, 7.0.1, and 7.5 the digit is 7.
version_date_time is the time that the backup was performed.
