Installing the Phone Interview Components
Phone Interview Components is a collection of additional items that are required for sites where telephone interviews dial numbers using modems.
Make sure that each interviewer’s computer has an internal modem fitted or is connected to an external modem and that the modem driver software has been correctly installed. The modem and the interviewer's telephone must be connected to the same telephone outlet. If your organization's internal telephone network requires that a special code must be dialed to make an external call, you must specify this (and any other special dialing rules) in Phone and Modem Options in the Windows Control Panel. Then follow these instructions to install the Phone Interview Components.
1 Log on to the computer as a user who has administrative privileges for that computer.
2 Go to the folder that the installation program is in, and then double-click the installation program.
3 Follow the onscreen instructions.
