Adding DCOM permissions for scriptwriters to LogBckO2
If you have installed the Scriptwriter Service onto individual scriptwriters’ computers, and those scriptwriters will be logging in using an account other than that of the installing user, you should add DCOM permissions for the computer’s Users group to LogBckO2. This will prevent access problems if the scriptwriter works on projects that use quota control.
1 From the Windows Start menu, click Run.
2 Type dcomcnfg, and then click OK.
3 In the left frame, go to Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config.
4 Right-click LogBck02, and then click Properties.
The LogBckO2 Properties dialog opens.
5 Click the Security tab.
6 In the Access Permissions frame, click Edit.
The Launch Permissions dialog opens.
7 Click Add.
The Select Users, Computers or Groups dialog opens.
8 In “Enter the object names to select”, type <computer_name>\Users, where <computer_name> is the name of the scriptwriter’s computer.
9 Click OK, and then close dcomcnfg.
