Sample data
The UNICOM Intelligence Developer Documentation Library includes some sample data sets which are suitable for use in UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation. Which samples you decide to use depends on which data formats you will be using in UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation. However, you should install the Museum and Household XML samples because they are used extensively in the documentation. This section describes how to set up UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation projects in UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin using the sample data sets listed.
Museum XML data set
This is the main sample data set that is used in the UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation documentation. It is based on a survey of visitors to a museum. There were 602 respondents in total, of whom 304 were interviewed as they entered the museum, and 298 were interviewed as they left. The questions in the survey are in three groups:
General questions that all respondents were asked.
Questions that respondents were asked only if they were interviewed when they were entering the museum.
Questions that respondents were asked only if they were interviewed when they were leaving the museum.
This sample contains the standard system variables, a range of categorical, numeric, and text variables based on the questions in the survey, and includes four grids. Texts are available in English, Spanish, and Japanese.
Household XML data set
This is an example of a complex hierarchical data set and is used for the examples of working with hierarchical data. Texts are available in English and Spanish.
Short Drinks UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin sample data
This is in the form of an .mdd file and a Relational MR (RDB) database. The .mdd file has five versions, which were used to collect the data. Texts are available in English and Spanish. To use the database, you need access to a SQL Server installation and appropriate user access rights. The database comes as a SQL Server backup and you need SQL Server Client Tools to restore the backup. For more information, see Understanding versions.
Museum and Household Quanvert databases
These are similar to the Museum and Household XML samples, except that they are in the form of Quanvert databases and therefore do not include the system variables. Texts are available in only English.
Trips data set
This data set is in the form of an .mdd file and a OLE DB Provider in the form of a Microsoft Excel .xls file. The sample data set demonstrates HDATA and database question usage.
Employee Data sample .sav file
This is a small sample file in the IBM SPSS Statistics .sav format.
Museum QDI/DRS data set
This is similar to the Museum XML data set, except that it is in the form of Quancept .qdi and .drs files. Because the QDI/DRS DSC does not support a hierarchical view of the case data, the data collected using loops is available only in a flattened form.
Museum Surveycraft QDT/VQ files
This is similar to the Museum XML sample, except that it is in the form of Surveycraft .qdt and .vq files.
Household Surveycraft QDT/VQ files
This is similar to the Household XML sample, except that it is in the form of Surveycraft .qdt and .vq files.
Ski Demo Quantum data set
This sample data set is in the form of a Quantum .dat file, skidemo.dat, with an accompanying mdd file.
UNICOM Intelligence File sample data sets
Samples of UNICOM Intelligence metadata document (.mdd) files and UNICOM Intelligence Data File (.ddf) case data files. The following sample data sets are available:
Museum
Household
Short Drinks
Trips
Triple-S sample data sets
Samples of files that meet the Triple-S standard. The following sample data sets are available:
Museum
Ski Demo
