This section describes the table specification syntax. In most cases, you can create tables without needing to understand the syntax, but for complex tables, or to create tables containing elements that are not available in the user interface, you can edit the syntax directly, in the Advanced view of the Define tab, or in the of the Script tab New Variable, Edit Variable, or Edit Axis dialogs.
