Boolean variables
A Boolean variable stores a value of true or false for each case. Sometimes Boolean variables are based on a question that has only two possible answers. For example, “Do you own a car?” has two answers: Yes, which corresponds to true, and No, which corresponds to false.
However, Boolean variables are often special variables that have been defined especially for use as filters. These variables are sometimes referred to as filter variables.
