Table Definition section
This displays a graphical representation of the table and details of the table structure. Use this area to create your tables. You can display the Table Definition section in one of two views:
▪Simple view. Displays a graphical representation of the structure of the table, as well as the table description and information about any filters applied. Use this view to create tables.
▪Advanced view. In addition to the information displayed in the simple view, the advanced view displays the top and side specifications for the table, details of any table weighting and table levels, and a button to display the script for the table. Use this view to display additional details and to fine-tune your tables.
Defining the structure of a table
The Define tab provides several different ways of defining the structure of a table. For example:
▪Drag the icon that is next to a variable in the Variable List to the Table Definition section.
▪Click a variable in the Variable List, and then click in the Table Definition section in which you want it to appear.
▪Type the specification of each axis into the Top and Side boxes in the advanced view of the Table Definition section. For more information, see
Table and axis syntax in scripts.
▪Drag an icon from the Variable List onto the Top or Side box in the advanced view of the Table Definition section.
▪Copy all or part of another table, and then paste it into position in your new table.
▪Use a combination of any of these methods.
When you define a table, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation updates the specification in the Side and Top boxes in the advanced view of the Table Definition section. If you update the specification in these boxes, UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation updates the graphical representation of the table.
