Setting up the XML Museum or Household project
Permissions needed
You must have access permissions for creating UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin projects and using the Manage Files activity.
1 On the toolbar at the top of the My Projects list, click the New Project button This graphic is described in the surrounding text..
The New Project dialog opens.
2 From the Project Type list, select Analyze existing data.
3 In the Name box, enter the project's name as you want it to appear in the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin project list, for example, Museum (XML) or Household (XML).
This name is for display purposes only and can be changed at any time during the project's life cycle.
4 In the Description box, enter a description of the project, and then click OK.
The project is created using the default settings, and the Upload Existing Data dialog appears.
5 In the Data Type list, select UNICOM Intelligence XML Data File.
6 Click Browse, and then go to the location where the Museum XML and the Household XML datasets are installed. By default, this is:
[INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\DDL\Data\XML
7 Select the Museum.xml file or the Household.xml file. The file uploads, and then its name of the file appears in the File(s) uploaded list.
8 Click Browse again, and then select the Museum.mdd file or the Household.mdd file.
The file uploads.
9 You will be asked whether you want to change the name of the .mdd file to match the Project ID. Click No.
Completing the set up
1 To check that UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin can connect to the data files you have uploaded, click Test Connection. If the connection fails, use EditProject to change the connection properties.
2 Click Finish.
This creates the project and adds it to the list of UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin projects.
3 If you want to share the project with other users, check the data files into the shared folder, and then unlock the project.
4 To confirm that everything is set up correctly, create a test table in UNICOM Intelligence Reporter - Survey Tabulation.
