The Formatter Simulator for UDTT is a plug-in. It simulates how a string is parsed into a specific data item.
Prerequisites
If you had installed the toolkit before you installed the IBM Rational Application Developer, copy the following plug-in files to the $D(RAD)/plugins directory manually after you have IBM Rational Application Developer installed later:
com.ibm.btt.core.0
com.ibm.btt.tools.fs.core.0.jar
com.ibm.btt.tools.fs.ui.0.jar
To use the Formatter Simulator
1 Start IBM Rational Application Developer.
2 Click Window > Show View, expand UDTT, and then select Formatter Simulator.
