Packing additional files with a project
When packing a project, text files (with the extension txt) and sound files (with the extension wav) are automatically packed along with the project. If you want to pack additional files, such as the database notes file, you need to create an extras file to specify that these files should also be packed with the database.
To define additional files to be packed
1 Start a text editor, such as Windows Notepad.
2 Type the name of each file you want to pack, including its extension, one per line. For example:
readthis.wri
dbhelp.msg
db.nts
3 Save the file in the project directory with the name qextras.lst.
Note The extension of the qextras file, lst, is an abbreviation of list and not first. So, when saving the file, be sure you type this as lst and not 1st.
When you pack the project, Quanvert looks for the file qextras.lst and packs each named file with the database.
