Aliases
To define an alias, create a file called machine.def in the directory $QVHOME/include, if such a file does not already exist. In the file, put each definition on a separate line in this format:
new computer = existing computer
For example, if the alias for Sun UNIX systems was not built into qvtrans itself, you could define it as:
sun = mips
Once you have defined an alias, you should run qvpack as described in Packing the database and name the alias with the –m option on the command line.
