solidDB® is versioned in the following format: major.intermediate.minor.buildlevel. For example, 200.0.3.123.
▪A major version sets a new start for the product life cycle, and includes 5 years of standard support (with an additional 3 years offered as extended support). For more information on the solidDB® product life cycles, see http://soliddb.com.
Note Major versions provide significant new functionality and therefore you cannot downgrade a solidDB® installation to an earlier major version.
▪Intermediate versions offer new functionality and don't restart the support life cycle. Although every effort is made to allow you to downgrade to an earlier intermediate version within the same major release, this is not guaranteed.
▪Minor versions are fix releases that might also include some new functionality. You can downgrade to an earlier minor version within the same intermediate release.
▪Build level is an incremental counter for identifying the build. Minor versions typically only have one build level, but in some cases different platform releases do have different build levels within the same minor version.
