Configuring external authentication for ODBC clients and solidDB tools
If you want to use the solidDB ODBC Driver or solidDB data management tools (for example, solidDB SQL Editor (solsql)) with strong password encryption, you must install the OpenSSL libcrypto library on the solidDB client computer.
To enable the use of OpenSSL for password encryption with ODBC clients and solidDB tools, complete the following steps:
1 Install and configure the OpenSSL libcrypto library on the client computer, see Installing and configuring the OpenSSL toolkit.
2 Set the value of the client-side Client.UseCryptoLib parameter to yes.
