1 Disconnect the servers and shut them down.

2 Install the new version of the software.

3 If you are upgrading to a new version, copy the new license file (solid.lic) from the License Certificate image to both the primary and secondary servers.

4 If necessary, update the solid.ini files.

5 Start the primary server with the command line parameter -x autoconvert, which instructs the server to convert the existing database to the new format.

6 Set the primary server to PRIMARY ALONE state.

7 Copy the database from the primary server to the secondary server.

8 Connect the servers.
