Starting solidDB in Windows environments
To start solidDB in a Windows environment, click Start > Programs > solidDB > Start solidDB server.
Result
When you start solidDB, it checks whether a database already exists. If no database is found, solidDB creates a new database called solid.db in the eval_kit\standalone directory, with the following login credentials and catalog name:
User name: dba
Password: dba
Catalog name: dba
Note If you want to start solidDB and create a database in a different directory or with different login credentials and catalog name, you can modify the default settings by right-clicking the Start solidDB server icon and editing the shortcut Properties. For more details, see Starting a solidDB server.
