Exporting BPMN diagrams to BPMN interchange XML format files
You can export your BPMN diagrams to an interchange XML file for use with other applications that support the BPMN 2.0 interchange format.
To change the encoding format
You can change the encoding format of the exported xml file from UTF-8 to any valid format, such as UTF-16, UTF-8, UTF-7, euc-kr, iso-8859-8-i, and IBM500.
To change the encoding format, click Tools > Session Options > BPMN_XML_Encoding.
Restart System Architect and reopen the encyclopedia for the changes to take affect.
To export BPMN diagrams
1 In the Explorer, right-click a business process diagram, and then click Export BPMN File.
2 In the dialog box, do this:

export the generated file to IBM Rational Asset Manager
In the Output options section, select Rational Asset Manager.
exclude pictures that are pasted into diagrams
In the Picture options section, select Exclude.
change the default path and location of the generated file
Click Browse, and then select a file location.
3 Click Next, and then review the export options you have selected.
4 To generate the file, click OK.
