Enabling advanced symbols for Network Concept diagrams
You can use the Network Concept diagram to model a high-level view of your company's network infrastructure. The diagram depicts the conceptual nodes and their connections with the overall network. It includes such information as the types of lines in your Network, the connections, the hosts, and the servers.
A default set of symbols are provided on the Network Concept diagram. Additional sets of images can be turned on and made available in the toolbar:
Advanced Network Symbols: Additional symbols that are used for modeling advanced network concepts
Cisco Network Symbols: Symbols representing specific Cisco products
To turn on these sets of symbols
1 Select Tools > Customize Method Support > Encyclopedia Configuration to open the System Architect Property Configuration dialog.
2 In the lower left hand corner, click the Advanced button.
3 In the Configure Property Set dialog, scroll down in the Property Set list on the left-hand side and select one or both of Cisco Network Symbols and Advanced Network Symbols. (Note: if you select Cisco Network Symbols, Advanced Network Symbols are included.)
4 Click the Add button to move the appropriate network symbols property to the Property Sets field in the right column, and then click OK.
5 Reopen the encyclopedia for the changes to take effect.
