By default Network Connection lines are drawn between symbols with center-to-center routing mode turned on. If you want to draw lines between symbols so that the point on the symbol at which you attach the line is adhered to, select Format, Center-to-Center Routing and toggle the selection off. Additional line routing behaviors are available by selecting Format, Symbol Format, Line.
Link
The Link symbol depicts the lines connecting the parts of your network.
Wireless Connectivity
A wireless connection over which data is sent between computers or network devices using wireless protocols.
Serial Connection
A connection over which serialized data is sent between computers or network devices. A serial connection traditionally uses the RS232 standard for its connectors, although this has been superseded by the Universal Serial Bus (USB).
Circuit Switched Line
A circuit switched line provides data connections that can be initiated when they are needed and terminated when communication is complete. This works much like a normal telephone line works for voice communication. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is an example of circuit switching.
Communication Medium
A number of symbols representing communication mediums are available to be drawn on the network concept diagram, such as network buses, token-ring networks, and so forth.
