You can create a node tree diagram, which shows hierarchical relationships between Function and Activities within a nesting of parent and child IDEF0 diagrams of a model.
Prerequisite Ensure that the IDEF0 diagram and definition set has been turned on for the encyclopedia.
1 To open the System Architect Property Configuration dialog box, click ToolsCustomize Method SupportEncyclopedia Configuration.
2 Verify that the IDEF0 and IDEF3 option is selected. If not, select it, click OK, and then reopen the encyclopedia for the change to take effect.
3 Click File > New Diagram.
4 In the Select new type for All Methods dialog box, double-click Node Tree.
5 In the New Diagram dialog box, type a name for the diagram; then click OK.
