Creating OV-6b child diagrams
In OV-6b Op State Transition diagrams, you can create Child Diagrams from object symbols.
1 Select an Operational Activity symbol on an OV-6a diagram and either right-click the symbol and select Child Create, or select Edit, Child Diagram, Create from the menu.
2 If not enabled, select OV-6b Op State Transition in the list box.
Adding objects, scenarios, and sets to operational state transition diagrams
Define the diagram properties to add objects, scenarios, and sets.
To define the diagram properties
1 Right-click the diagram; then click Diagram Properties.
2 In the Diagram (OV-6b Op State Transition) dialog box, click Choices.
3 In the Select Drag and Drop dialog box, select a model name and drag it into the Scenario (IDEF3 Scenario) field.
4 To specify the OSTN Set-(OV-6b Op State Transition), the Scenario Set-(OV6a Op Rules Model), the Object State Set, or the Operational Activity Set-(Unit of Behavior), select the name of the item you need and drag it into its respective field.
5 Type glossary text in the OSTN Glossary box and the status of the diagram in the Diagram Status box.
6 Type the name of the reviewer and the date of review in their respective boxes.
7 Click OK.
