Generating SV-3 Resource Interaction matrices for MODAF
You can generate a matrix that describes the relationships identified in the internodal and intranodal perspectives of the System Interface Description. The Resource Interaction Matrix can be a useful tool for managing the evolution of resources and system infrastructures, the insertion of new technologies and capabilities, and the redistribution of resources and processes in context with evolving operational requirements.
This matrix is similar to an “N 2”-type matrix where the resources are listed in the rows and the columns of the matrix, and each cell represents a resource pair intersection, if one exists.
1 Click View > Matrix Browser.
2 On the MODAF icon, double-click one of these matrices:
SV-3 Resource Interaction Matrix - Resource
SV-3 Resource Interaction Matrix - Resource Type and Subtypes: Resource Types and subtypes can be selected. This matrix supports subtypes in columns and explicit relationships (resource interactions).
3 In the Specify Filters dialog box, click Next.
4 In the Choose Matrix Contents dialog box, all items are selected by default. Click Finish.
The matrix of Resources plotted against Resources opens.
