Specifying a resource for each concrete resource type on an NSV-1 diagram (NAF 3)
Each concrete resource is the implementation of a general resource (keyed by Physical Asset). When you have created concrete resources, you should create a same-named resource definition and specify the concrete resource that it is implemented by in its definition. It is the Resource definition that you use to correlate resources with other artefacts such as Services, Operational Nodes, and Functions in the matrices.
1 Draw a concrete resource on an SV-1 diagram. Concrete resources include Capability Configuration, Artefact, Software, System Resource, Physical Asset, Platform, Role Type, Organization Type, and Post Type.
2 In the Explorer browser, create a resource definition of the same name as the concrete resource you have drawn on the diagram.
3 Click the Resource Type tab.
4 To open the definition of the resource, in the Specific Resource property, click the Choices button; then drag the concrete resource into the field.
