Generating NSV-3 Resource to Resource matrices for NAF 3
You can generate a report describing the relationships identified in the internodal and intranodal perspectives of the System Interface Description. The Resource to Resource Matrix can be a useful tool for managing the evolution of resources and system infrastructures, the insertion of new technologies and capabilities, and the redistribution of resources and processes in context with evolving operational requirements.
In the NAF 3 specification, NSV-3 is known as the Resource to Resource Matrix.
This matrix is similar to an “N 2”-type matrix where the resources are listed in the rows and the columns of the matrix, and each cell represents a resource pair intersection, if one exists.
1 Click View > Matrix Browser.
2 The Matrix Browser appears docked to the left by default.
3 On the NAF icon, select NSV-3 Resource to Resource Matrix.
4 In the Specify Filters dialog box, click Next.
5 In the Choose Matrix Contents dialog box, to select all the items to be shown in the matrix by default, click Finish.
The matrix of Resources plotted against Resources opens.
