Symbol (more than one type code)
A symbol can have more than one type code: a Process on a Gane & Sarson DFD is different from a Process on a Yourdon/DeMarco DFD. If a graphic symbol on one diagram type has a different appearance from that on another diagram type, its type number is different. Symbols that have exactly the same appearance from diagram type to diagram type have the same symbol type number.
