Printing to files
Printing to a file means that, instead of sending a copy of a diagram to your printer, you are sending a copy to be stored in a directory.
To print to a file, follow these steps:
1 Modify your printer output using the Windows printer properties, directing it to a file rather than a physical printer.
2 In System Architect, notice that the Print dialog indicates that the output device is FILE.
3 When you click OK, you are given a standard Windows file menu to select the output path and enter the file name. Each print command produces a separate file.
4 To print the file on your printer, type this command at the DOS prompt: copy filename LPT1 (your printer port).
