Each definition has a series of Properties, such as Description, Data Type, and Method. The type of control is controlled by the relevant entry in SAPROPS.CFG and USRPROPS.TXT. Typical controls are text box, radio button, drop down list box, check box, and so on.

Selected text in any edit box on the Add Definition and Modify Definition dialog box pages can be transferred to and from the Clipboard using CTRL-INS (copy), SHIFT-DEL (cut), and SHIFT-INS (paste).

The name of attributes and data elements can follow special rules.
