Determining whether diagrams are already linked to Microsoft Word
If your diagrams were created in versions of System Architect before version 3.1, follow the steps defined below.
Diagrams created in sessions of System Architect Version 3.1 or later, where the sa2001.ini DiagramMetaFiles setting was defined as Y, do not need to be linked to Word. This is because the link between a diagram and Word is established by the presence of one Metafile per diagram. When the DiagramMetaFiles setting is set to Y, a Metafile is automatically created when System Architect manipulates a diagram. You can easily find out if a Metafile exists for any diagram by looking in your File Manager or Windows Explorer. In the subdirectory where the diagram resides, look for a file with a .wmf extension. If a .wmf file exists with the same file name as your diagram, then your diagram already has the required Metafile. Your diagram is therefore correctly linked to Word and ready to be copied into a document.
