If you try to open the definition dialog box for an item that has been checked out by someone else, you will get a message stating that the component is in use and the Audit Id of the person using it. A read-only definition dialog box will then be opened. The person who checks out a definition always has both read and write access to that object.

To obtain a listing of all checked-out items, run the Checked Out Diagrams and Definitions report. This report is included in the REPORTS.RPT file.
