When the Symbol Grid option is selected, the center of each rectangular symbol is used to place it on the grid.

The information is provided on both unit measure grid point and grid points per unit measure. For both vertical and horizontal dimensions, you can change either value and the effect on the other is displayed. The placement of rectangular symbols on a chosen grid and placement of line symbols on a chosen grid can be controlled separately.

Depending on your Windows international settings, measurements are in inches or centimeters.
