Select for node tree generation (decomposition)

To automatically generate a Node Tree for a Function/Activity:

1 Create and save a Node Tree diagram.

2 Associate the Node Tree diagram with an IDEF0 Model.

3 Open the Node Tree diagram.

4 From the Draw menu, select Decomposition to open the Select for Node Tree Generation dialog.

5 In the box containing the list of diagrams, find the starting diagram for the tree (generally the Context diagram) and click the + symbol to the left of the diagram name.

6 Select the Operational Activity symbol that you want to decompose and click Build. System Architect will draw the Node Tree Diagram.
