Auto-decomposition diagrams
The Auto-Decomposition diagram automatically generates symbols representing the functions of an encyclopedia, or any portion of the encyclopedia you choose. It also automatically generates symbols representing all the symbols and definitions from any chosen diagram, or the hierarchy within any diagram.
These automatically generated “trees” are accessed through the Auto-Decomposition submenu Decomposition, which has these menu items:
Functional decomposition diagrams
Diagram Hierarchy Diagram
Diagram Explosion Diagram
Each option produces a different view of the current encyclopedia.
The Auto-Decomposition diagram uses some of the same symbols as Decomposition diagrams: Organizational Entity, Organizational Function, and Task. These symbols can be used to represent an organization. The connection lines are automatically drawn as the symbols are placed.
The Auto-Decomposition diagram also has the symbols Diagram, Symbol, and Definition, which can be used to represent a system. Any of the symbols can be attached to any of the others, enabling you to perform functions such as diagramming an organization and the systems that support each function.
