Important tip on symbol display
By default, when you draw ‘node’ symbols in System Architect, they are represented in their ‘conventional’ style – a rectangle, circle, or oblong depending on the symbol type. You can right-click any symbol and choose to:
Display with Alternate Depiction
Display with Alternate Depiction (without resizing)
Display with Adornment
Display with Adornment (without resizing)
Display Conventionally
Display Conventionally (without resizing)
Note By default, System Architect turns on the node shadows mode on any diagram you create. When displaying a symbol with Alternate Depiction, it might look distorted because it is being shadowed (see below). To turn off symbol node shadows:
1 Select Format > Diagram Format > Display Options to open the Display Options dialog.
2 In the Display Options dialog, toggle off Shadow > Node Symbols.
