Setting preferences for encyclopedias
When working within System Architect you can configure and set preferences for the project encyclopedia. You can select the diagrams and definition properties that will be available during any session.
The System Architect Property Configuration dialog box lets you see what methods, diagram types, and target languages are selected for the selected project encyclopedia. These can be changed at any time during the project.
1 Select Tools > Customize Method Support > Encyclopedia Configuration to open the System Architect Property Configuration dialog box. In this example you notice that the encyclopedia has been configured for Entity Relation Data Modeling, Enterprise Business Modeling, and UML, among other things. The SQL Server has been selected as the Target Database and Java as the Target Language.
Note Target languages such as Java and Visual Basic are not relevant to logical and physical data models, even though they can be used in the final application.
