Before you can publish packages with the Framework Manager, you need to create a data source connection that points to the ODS database that is populated with the System Architect data. A prerequisite for this step is that the IBM Cognos Report Server needs to have been installed.
1 Start the Report Server.
2 Open the IBM Cognos Home page.
3 Open the IBM Cognos Administration Manager.
4 Create a connection to the ODS database which has the System Architect data.
5 Choose the appropriate connection mechanism for the ODS database chosen above.
