Generating reports for System Architect/IBM Rational DOORS integration
This section describes the steps to run the reports from IBM Rational Publishing Engine. Before running the reports, ensure that:
the REST Service is running. If it is not, in System Architect, click Reports > Report Server Manager, and then click Start Service.
IBM Rational DOORS is running.
To run the reports
1 In the Document Specification pane, under the Data Sources pane, expand the Templates node and the Data sources* node.
2 Click the first REST Data source.
3 In the Properties pane, click the URI property and enter the URI for your Encyclopedia, which must be in the following format:
http://localhost:8889/SARest/SQL/sqlexpress/Samples/1
4 Click the second REST Data source, and in the Properties pane enter the same URI provided to the first Data source.
5 For DOORS data Source, provide the path to the DOORS executable file. This will be automatically saved in the template and you will not have to enter it again.
6 Click Variables->Variable(vDiagram_Name) and supply the name of the Business Process diagram on which the report is to be run. The report output report contains the following information:
the Diagram name and image
a table consisting of the Process Symbol names from the selected diagram and their process Definition descriptions
a Related Doors Requirement section with the Symbol names and the DOORS Requirements that are linked.
Note The reports do not provide information on child diagrams.
