Using screen readers with diagrams
System Architect XT provides access for people with visual impairments by working with screen reader applications, such as JAWS. A screen reader application reads the hover help for symbols, and converts the content to sound. Hover help content typically contains the name and type of a symbol.
To use a screen reader with the product
1 Install a Java Access Bridge, which you can download from the Oracle website:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/tech/index-jsp-136191.html
2 Open the screen reader application.
3 Open the website that you created with the product and navigate to a diagram.
4 For the screen reader to read the content of the hover help, hover the mouse over a symbol.
