Assign user to ILAC group
To gain access to an individual item, a user must be a member of a group permitted to access that item.
To assign a user to ILAC group
The procedure below assumes you have assigned groups to ILAC encyclopedias (see Setting default permissions for new items).
1 Expand the top level Users & Groups node.
2 Expand <your User Name> node (the node you will add to the group).
3 Right-click ILAC‑enabled group (such as the UML Modelers discussed in the previous section) and select Copy.
4 Right-click the Group(s) a member of node and select Paste. The image below shows a <user name> that has been assigned to the ILAC-enabled UML Modelers group.

Any encyclopedia sessions impacted by changes that you make must be reopened for those changes to take effect.
Access is granted to individual items where at least one user group that is assigned to the user is permitted to read from or read/write to that item.
