Creating a macro permission
System Architect Catalog Manager enables you to assign the Execute permission to macros you create. The only permission you can assign to a macro is Execute. When you create the macro permission, you assign it to a role. Users who are assigned that role will have permission to execute the macro.
System Architect provides a sample macro named Samples.mac file in the application folder (C:\Program Files\UNICOM Systems\System Architect Suite\System Architect by default).
To create a macro permission
1 Expand the root Encyclopedia Permission node.
2 Click on the Macro Permissions node and select New from the context menu. This displays the New Macro Permission dialog.
3 Enter the information for your macro in each of the required fields as show below. The fields shown are an example only.
Note The Macro field contains a function of the module that you enter in the Module field.
This graphic is described in the surrounding text.
To assign a macro permission to a role see Assigning macro.
