Convert business information service interaction model to information system service interaction model
The analyst can choose to select a number of Business Information Services and automate them as Information System Services. This toolset can assist in that selection process. A definition type is included called an Automation Criteria. This is a container for a System Architect report similar to an Explorer Object Report (see main System Architect help files for creation). The report will run against each Business Information Service and if the output is not null (returns a valid object) the tool will create a copy of the service as an Information System Service with a link back to the original Business Information Service. For example, you might automate all Business Information Services that originate from Business Services that support a particular Role or Business Activity. For example, you can produce an Automation Criteria report that automates the Role “Account Management” (see Creating automation criteria).
1 Set up an automation criteria, and then open a Business Information Service Interaction Model diagram.
2 Click Tools > IAF > Convert Business Information Service Interaction Model to Information System Service Interaction Model.
3 Enter a name for the target diagram. The name must be unique for a BIS Interaction model.
4 Select an automation criteria.
The tool creates a duplicate of the Business Information Service Interaction Model and constituent Business Information Services and contracts.
