Creating CV-04 Capability Dependencies (DM2) diagrams
The CV-04 depicts the dependencies between planned capabilities and the definition of logical groupings of capabilities.
Here is a sample CV-04 Capability Dependencies (DM2) diagram:

1 Click File > New Diagram.
2 In the Select All Methods dialog, select CV-04 Capability Dependencies (DM2).
3 Type a diagram name and click OK.
4 In the new diagram, set the diagram properties and add symbols as needed.
You can specify the following diagram properties:
Description: A description of the diagram.
Peers: CV-04 diagrams that are peers of the current diagram.
Architecture Type: As Is, To Be, or Transitional.
Related Architectural Description: This is the related ArchitecturalDescription definition (from the AV-01 diagram).
You can add the following symbols to the diagrams:
Capabilities: The ability to achieve a Desired Effect under specified (performance) standards and conditions through combinations of ways and means (activities and resources) to perform a set of activities.
Capability Dependency: Shows that a capability is dependent on another capability.
