Creating NTV-4 Software Configuration products
The NTV-4 Software Configuration is a product used in the NATO Architecture Framework Technical View. The Software Configurations provide a detailed description of the products that implement the standards of the Technical Configurations. The Software Interfaces between Software Configurations provide the product solutions of the Interoperability Profiles between Technical Configurations.
1 In the NTV-4 Software Configuration definition, enter the software configuration details.
Open the NTV-4 Software Configuration definition.
On the Introduction page, type a description for the software configuration and define a related technical configuration.
To specify the products and segments associated with the software configuration, click the Assembly Details tab.
2 In the NTV-4 Software Interface definition, enter the details of an individual Software Interface.
Open the NTV-4 Software Interface definition.
To relate two software configurations, define a software configuration in the From Software Configuration and To Software Configuration fields.
Click the NTV-3 Relationships tab and specify any associated NTV-3 Interoperability Profiles.
3 To generate the NTV-4 Software Configuration report, complete the following steps:
Click Reports > NAF Reports.
Click Software Configuration Report (NTV-4).
Select the definition; then click Run.
The report is displayed in a Microsoft Word document.
