Generating NOV-5 Activity Model diagrams from Node Tree diagrams
You can run the NOV-5 Node Tree to NOV-5 Activity Model utility to generate NOV-5 Activity Model diagrams from an existing NOV-5 Node Tree diagram.
Prerequisite
At least one Node Tree diagram must be present in the current encyclopedia and that diagram must have at least one symbol on it.
The upper most parent symbol becomes the context diagram for the Activity Model and each subsequent diagram is created and attached as a child to its appropriate parent symbol. The Operational Activity symbols are arranged in a diagonal going from left to right, top and bottom. The symbols are arranged in the order in which they appear on the Node Tree diagram, from left to right. This utility does not place ICOM arrows; it only creates the appropriate Operational Activity symbols.
Procedure
1 Click Tools > NAF Utilities.
2 Click NOV-5 Node Tree to NOV-5 Activity Model.
3 Click Run.
4 In the list of Node Tree diagrams in the current encyclopedia, select one or more diagrams.
5 Enter a name for each diagram to be created; then click OK.
Result
An NOV-5 Activity Model is generated with Operational Activity symbols and parent child relationships.
