Creating NCV-2 Capability Taxonomy diagrams for NAF 3
You can create a Capability Taxonomy diagram to build a structured list of capabilities and sub-capabilities (known as capability functions) that are required in a capability area during a certain Period of Time.
1 Click File > New Diagram.
2 In the Select new type for All Methods dialog box, double-click Capability Taxonomy.
3 In the New Diagram dialog box, enter a name for the diagram; then click OK.
The diagram is created.
Note You can manually draw a Capability Taxonomy diagram. When you do so, you connect Capabilities underneath one another using the autoconnect drawing feature that is available on hierarchical-type diagrams.
4 On the toolbar, select a Capability symbol and draw it on the diagram.
5 While still in draw mode, draw another capability symbol, and position it underneath the first Capability symbol, while holding your left mouse button down, until you see a vertical line appear between the two symbols, denoting they will be connected. Release the mouse button.
