Run service roadmap report
The Roadmap Report examines Services and the Project/Service Plan and Application that they modify and creates a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains a timeline view of the Services and Applications and their changes over time.
The report takes into account the commission and decommission dates of the applications providing those services and then reviews any projects that impacts the applications for those services.
For instance in the figure below an application provides some services to the business. Two projects are then carried out, one adds services to the application, one removes services. Both projects have start and end dates. Based on this information we can see which services are available at any point in time.

To run the Service Roadmap Report
1 Click Tools > Application Landscape Tools > Run Service Roadmap Report.
At this stage rules checks are conducted prior to generation of the report to ensure that the From/To Dates in the Project and Project/Service Plans are valid with respect to each other.
2 Specify the From Date and the To Date timeline period for the Services under examination.

3 Specify the Interval For Columns; this controls the time view level of granularity and will appear as columns in the report. Note that the shorter the period, the more detailed the timeline.
In the report Cells colored in Red denote that a Project/Service Plan, that affects that Service, is starting within that time period and cells colored in Green denote that the Project/Service Plan is completed within that period.
The cell content is the name of the Application on which a Service is being provided. The Project that is responsible for the addition/removal of a Service is added as a Comment to the Cell in the report.
