Application Service
The automated elements of a business service. An information system service can deliver or support part or all of one or more business services.
An Application Service can be used to represent a Microservice.
An Application Service can be modeled on these diagram types:
Business Footprint.
Data Dissemination.
Cross-domain Relationships.
You can model the Interfaces that the Application Service requires or provides, using these symbols:
Required App Service Interface.
Provided App Service Interface.
These symbols are drawn as Ports on the Application Service symbol. You can draw an App Service Interface Flow between the Service Interfaces of an Application Service.
