In this UAF View, you show references to operational, services, and resource architectures, asset libraries, legacy architectures, and external sources – for example, associated documents.
Note An ArchitecturalDescription definition can be related to the following items:
Parallel Architecture Efforts – described by other ArchitecturalDescription definitions – on page 2 of the ArchitecturalDescription definition’s Context - Other tab.
Operational Architectures and Resource Architectures that make it up – on the Expresses tab of the ArchitecturalDescription definition.
Additional ArchitecturalDescription definitions that describe it, on its DescribedBy tab.
Other ArchitecturalDescriptions that it is part of, on its Part Of tab.
Other ArchitecturalDescriptions that it is parent of, on its Parent Of tab.
Note Every definition type in System Architect has a Reference Documents tab, within which you can reference external documents – on web urls, Sharepoint, and so on – or imported into the encyclopedia database’s Files table.
To visualize the Am-Tr Architecture Traceability view, use an Explorer Diagram.
1 In the ArchitecturalDescription definition for the architecture, specify the other architectural definitions it is related to (from the preceding list).
2 Create an Explorer Diagram of type Network.
3 Drag-and-drop ArchitectureDescription definition from the Explorer Tree onto the diagram.
