Generating Microsoft Word reports
System Architect provides a link to Microsoft Word for reporting and documenting information within project encyclopedias.
When you install System Architect, it put some Word macros in the Word template directory. These macros are built with Microsoft Visual Basic; you can customize them by using Word’s Visual Basic Application.
1 Select Reports > Word Reports > Object Model Reports > Use Case Diagram Report.
Microsoft Word opens, and a new Word document appears, using one of the templates provided (SAobjmod.dot).
The Use Case Report dialog box appears. This example uses the Samples encyclopedia.
This graphic is described in the surrounding text.
2 Select the Hotel Reservations Use Case Context diagram.
3 To choose what the report contains, click Relationships or Use Case Properties. For this example, use the default values.
4 Click OK.
System Architect creates a report in Word.
