Entity table overview
The entity table contains three classes of rows that represent:
diagrams, such as data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams
symbols that are contained in the diagrams
definitions that might define symbols or be standalone definitions.
The database and derived fields in the entity table can be used by the reporting system in either tabular or matrix reports (see Predefined fields).
In a tabular report, the fields are specified in a SELECT command.
In a matrix report, the fields are specified by either a COLUMN command or a ROW command.
In either type of report, the WHERE command can be used to specify the field.
