Vision statements
According to the Business Rules Group, a vision is a statement about the future state of the organization, without regard to how it is to be achieved. It is the ultimate, possibly unattainable, state that the organization wants achieve.
A Vision is often compound, rather than focused toward one particular aspect of the business problem. A vision is amplified by goals. Vision can be visually modeled on the Enterprise Direction diagram, which supports the Business Motivation Model (BMM).
